In 1830, the only way west or north out of Houston was the road Washington Street now called Washington Avenue. Please join us on an Historic Journey down Washington Avenue and help us celebrate our great heritage and George Washington's birthday.

Washington on Washington Parade is being organized by SuperNeighborhood #22- Washington Avenue/Memorial Park to bring together our neighbors and the city of Houston in a truly grass roots effort to highlight our community, our contribution to the history of Houston, and to promote fellowship with each other.

The parade is YOU - with colorful floats, vehicles, bands, and much more that will attract thousands of viewers along Washington Avenue from Heights Boulevard to Memorial Park on the first Saturday in March 2007.
